Several Indiana high school volleyball programs were honored today by the AVCA for their excellence in the classroom. Teams must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale. This is the 25th year for the AVCA Team Academic Award with a number of schools from Indiana earning this distinction over this period.

This year’s recipients of this prestigious award include:  Alexandria Monroe High School, Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School, Batesville High School, Bishop Chatard High School, Borden High School, Cathedral High School, Daleville High School, East Central High School, Hamilton Southeastern High School, Heritage Christian School, Milan High School, Oldenburg Academy.

Cathedral High School was also recognized for earning the honor more than 15 years (they have earned it 20 years in a row).  They were also named to the Top-25 Honor Roll for having one of the highest average composite GPA in the nation (they had a 4.0).
