The IHSVCA State Finals Banquet was another incredible event honoring all the finalists’ teams, coaches, and families. Alison Duncan, Crown Point High School, did another remarkable job organizing this memorable event with nearly 480 in attendance. Congratulations to Brad McCarter (Lafayette Central Catholic), Grant Bell (Andrean), Kat Haughs Brebeuf) and Sara Sutter (McCutcheon) for winning their respective IHSAA State Championships. It was a long, exciting, and emotional day for everyone.

Thanks to Rhonda Low for organizing the former State Championship Coaches parade. Nearly 80% of these coaches made it back to be honored before the 3A and 4A

It’s a new record! Eight hundred and sixty-eight student-athletes earned the right to be called IHSVCA Academic All-State crushing last year’s mark of 732. More than 270 schools nominated their brightest volleyball players for this award. There were several award winners that were #1 in their senior class with nearly one thousand students in their class to less than 100.
Congratulation’s ladies. The average weighted GPA for all honorees was an incredible 3.95! Volleyball players are the model STUDENT-athlete on the court and in the classroom. Click HERE to see the list of honorees
Congratulations to the 72 seniors that were nominated by their coach for receiving the inaugural Support Staff IHSVCA Academic All-State Award. These individuals worked hard in the classroom and behind the scenes at volleyball practices and matches. These managers

We smashed another record, 2,162 players were nominated for End of Season Honors, 616 All-District, 435 All-State consideration in the four classes, 495 players were nominated by their coaches for All-Star tryouts.
The South ruled the 2021 IHSVCA All-Star Match sweeping the North is some of the best all-star play ever. Click HERE to see the official program. Special thanks to John Breeding (South-retired New Albany) and Ron Bryam (North-retired Peru) for coaching the Junior All-Stars.
In the 1A/2A Senior All-Star Match, Faith Wilder-Newland (Trinity Lutheran) and Laura Lawson (Western Boone) lead the South. While Brad McCarter (Lafayette Central Catholic) and Grant Bell (Andrean) coached the North.
The 3A/4A Senior All-Star Match was a battle going down to the wire with the South prevailing. Coaches for the south were Kat Haughs (Brebeuf) and Daniel Watson (Castle). Coaches for the North squad were Craig Krull (Bellmont) and Sara Sutter (McCutcheon). The attendance was one of the biggest crowds ever for an IHSVCA All-Star Match. We also had a large audience watching the webcast of the matches.
