Deadline for District and State Coach of the Year is Monday, October 8th.
District Coach of the Year Award
The IHSVCA realizes that there are many coaches in the state that have had an outstanding season. Whether it was their best season in recent history or they accomplished the most with less talent than their competitors, we feel that these coaches should be recognized.
District Coach of the Year in each class will be considered as a nominee for the State Coach of the Year in that particular class.

Criteria
- Must be a member of the IHSVCA.
- Must be nominated by a member coach in your district.
- All member coaches in the district will vote for District Coach of the year for your class.
- Voting will take place at the same time as selection for the All-District players’ selections, Sunday, October 21, 2018.
- Top three candidates in each class and district will be voted upon by the Executive Committee of the IHSVCA on Sunday, October 28, 2018.
State Coach of the Year Award
Criteria
- The top three candidates for each class from each district will be considered candidates for IHSVCA Coach of the Year.
- Coach must be a member of the IHSVCA
- Represents program in professional and ethical manner
- The All-Star selection committee will select the State Coach of the Year and North/South Coach of the Year for each class.|
