Learn from the person in charge of high school volleyball in the USA

We are very pleased to announce that Lindsey Atkinson, from the National Federation of High School, will be joining us again for the Town Hall meeting.  The former Pike High School three sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, softball) and varsity volleyball coach at South Putman High School will give us insights as to high school volleyball at the national level.

She attended DePauw University were she competed on the women’s basketball team for four years and the softball team for one year. She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology before starting her professional career with the NFHS.

Atkinson originally joined the NFHS staff in June of 2006 as an administrative assistant for two years when she assisted with the sports of girls’ gymnastics, swimming and diving, water polo, track and field, cross country and volleyball.

In 2016, Atkinson rejoined the NFHS staff as a coordinator of sports, taking on additional responsibilities in the areas of inclusion of students with disabilities and staff liaison for tennis.

In August of 2017, Atkinson was named to the administrative staff in her current position as director of sports and communications associate. Among her duties, Atkinson serves as the staff liaison, rules interpreter and editor of rules publications in the sports of girls’ lacrosse and volleyball, and she is a staff writer for High School Today. She also maintains her role as staff liaison for tennis and inclusion of students with disabilities
